Mr. Ruffner is an attorney in the firm’s Insurance Coverage Practice Group. He focuses his practice on insurance coverage analysis and litigation. He is experienced in providing complex coverage opinions and strategies for all first-party and third-party coverage matters. Mr. Ruffner has experience working on litigation in New York state and federal courts, including drafting papers for all stages of the civil litigation process including pleadings and motions for summary judgment and to dismiss, as well as substantive research projects.
Mr. Ruffner obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2021. While in Law School, he was a member of the Buffalo Law Review and Civil Rights and Transparency Clinic. At the clinic, he represented clients in Freedom of Information Law and Fair Housing Act litigation.
Prior to receiving his Juris Doctorate degree, Mr. Ruffner completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering, a minor in philosophy, and was a member of the cross country and track & field teams.
