Hurwitz Fine P.C. is committed to the disposition of claims in a prompt, efficient and cost-effective manner. Wherever possible, we consider the use of mediation and arbitration. Among our attorneys are court appointed and certified arbitrators and mediators who, even in traditional matters and transactions, utilize the key negotiation skills acquired through decades of arbitration and mediation experience. A hallmark of mediation is its capacity to go beyond traditional settlement discussions and explore creative outcomes responsive to the participants' needs and interests.

Firm coverage and ADR team leader, Dan D. Kohane, has extensive experience mediating complex casualty and insurance coverage and commercial disputes, as well as personal injury matters. He is appointed and certified to the panel of Federal Mediators in the Western District of New York and serves on ADR panels for multiple New York State Supreme Court districts, including the First, Second, Third, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Twelfth, and Thirteenth. Dan has also completed American Arbitration Association Commercial Arbitration training.

Michael F. Perley serves as a neutral in both mediation and arbitration, handling cases in New York and across the country. He has been appointed and certified to the panel of Federal Mediators in the Western District of New York and has extensive experience helping parties resolve disputes efficiently and effectively.

Andrea Schillaci leverages decades of experience in commercial and business litigation to help clients resolve complex disputes efficiently. A trained mediator, Andrea serves on the Commercial Mediation Panel for the 8th Judicial District and brings a strategic, solution-oriented approach to every matter. She is also an active member of the Bar Association of Erie County’s ADR Committee.

Amber E. Storr focuses on resolving commercial and business disputes through mediation and litigation. With extensive training and hands-on experience, she has successfully mediated numerous contract and business matters, helping clients achieve practical, timely resolutions. Amber also serves on the Bar Association of Erie County’s ADR Committee.
