Ryan P. O'Shea

Mr. O’Shea is an attorney in the firm’s Insurance Coverage & Extracontractual Liability practice group, with the focus of his practice on insurance coverage litigation and policy analysis. Mr. O’Shea has experience drafting coverage opinions and position letters, preparing pleadings and motion papers, and preparing discovery demands and responses.  He is experienced in evaluating coverage issues under commercial general liability, commercial auto, businessowners, and homeowners insurance policies. He is a contributor for Coverage Pointers, the Firm’s bi-weekly insurance newsletter. In his column, "On the Road with O’Shea," he reviews opinions and decisions on automobile coverage issues within New York State.

Mr. O’Shea obtained his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2022. During his time in law school, he interned for the Chapter 13 Trustee in Rochester, New York, assisting in bankruptcy matters involving evaluating debtor’s eligibility for Chapter 13 bankruptcy and creditor’s claims. He also participated in a judicial externship with the Commercial Division in the New York State Supreme Court Seventh Judicial District.

Prior to receiving his Juris Doctor, Mr. O’Shea graduated with an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the State University of New York Brockport.
