Mr. Louttit is Special Counsel at Hurwitz Fine concentrating in insurance coverage and liability defense and represents clients in State and Federal Courts through all phases of litigation. For almost 20 years, Mr. Louttit has represented insurers and insureds in all aspects of insurance law. After graduating law school, Mr. Louttit served seven years as Staff Counsel for an international insurance carrier providing negligence defense to its insureds from inception through trial. Mr. Louttit also served as Corporate Legal Counsel for a national insurance carrier providing advice to the company’s CEO, executive team, and oversight for the claims and underwriting departments and company expansion. For the last 10 years, Mr. Louttit has concentrated his practice in insurance coverage and insurance defense matters.

Mr. Louttit earned his Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University Law School, and his Master of Business Administration from Stony Brook University. Mr. Louttit is admitted to practice in New York State Courts, the United States District Courts for New York’s Southern and Eastern Districts and has also appeared pro hac vice in various jurisdictions throughout the country.
