Ms. Melville is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. Her practice is focused on the defense of businesses and individuals in a wide array of litigated matters.

Prior to joining Hurwitz Fine, Ms. Melville’s practice included representation of corporations and individuals in matters such as construction accidents; and premises liability, property damage, and subrogation claims.

During her career, Ms. Melville has handled personal injury litigation from both the plaintiff and defense side, providing her with a unique perspective when counseling her clients on what to expect during the litigation process and the best strategies for the most successful outcome.  She is zealous in the representation of her clients and understands the importance of keeping clients apprised of every aspect of case development.

Ms. Melville received her Juris Doctor degree from University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she was an Associate Notes Editor of the school’s Law Review, Vice President of the Black Law Student’s Association, and Student Marshall at the 2012 Commencement Ceremony.  Ms. Melville received her undergraduate degree from Temple University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies.  While attending Temple University, Ms. Melville was the President of the undergraduate chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.

Ms. Melville is a staunch believer in giving back to members of underserved communities and exhibits this through her work as a pro bono lawyer for the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Nassau Suffolk Law Services Committee, Inc. She has also been a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, a community-conscious, action-oriented organization dedicated to transforming the lives of others, since 2005. Ms. Melville enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and is an active member of her church.
