Ms. Whitmore is an associate in the firm’s Litigation group, where she focuses her practice on insurance defense, with a concentration in personal injury claims arising from motor vehicle accidents and premises liability matters. She brings more than 20 years of experience in civil litigation to her role at Hurwitz Fine.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Whitmore served for over eight years as Assistant Staff Counsel to a large national insurance carrier, defending both personal and commercial policyholders in a wide range of tort actions, including motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, premises liability, and products liability. Earlier in her career, she defended a public authority in personal injury actions involving motor vehicle and premises liability claims. Prior to law school, she worked as a paralegal at a civil litigation firm handling both plaintiff and defense matters, with a primary focus on defending a utility company in personal injury cases.

Ms. Whitmore earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Western Michigan University in 2011, where she received an Honors Scholarship and served as Publicity Editor of the Law Review. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Canisius College.

She is admitted to practice in New York State and the United States District Court for the Western District of New York.
