Hurwitz & Fine Insurance Coverage Attorneys Dan Kohane and Ryan Maxwell are closely monitoring the new Comprehensive Insurance Disclosure Act (“CIDA”), which took effect on December 31, 2021. It is understood that the terms of CIDA may change pursuant to chapter amendments in the near future. However, as of today, insured-defendants are required to provide certain disclosures by March 1, 2022, on pending matters, or within 60-days of answering on new matters.
Dan and Ryan have assembled a helpful, one-page summary of these disclosure requirements, available here.
