Hurwitz Fine Welcomes Three Associates in the Firm's Buffalo Office

Hurwitz Fine has welcomed three associates who were all admitted to the bar on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, and will be joining the firm’s Insurance Coverage and General Litigation teams! All three of the individuals have spent the last several months at the firm as associates-pending-admission, and we are excited to officially welcome them as attorneys!

 

Evan D. Gestwick 

Evan D. Gestwick has joined Hurwitz Fine P.C. as an associate attorney in our Buffalo office and will be focusing his practice on Insurance Coverage.  

Prior to returning to the firm as an associate, Evan was part of our team as one of our 2021 summer law clerks and clerked with the firm until his admission to the bar in 2023. During this time, he gained valuable on-site experience where duties included a variety of tasks from research, writing projects, and case preparation. 

During law school, he was a member of the School’s Entrepreneurship Law Center Clinic, in which he represented start-up businesses in various undertakings. He also served as a peer-to-peer advocate, student mentor, and student ambassador. 

Evan received his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2022 and received a Bachelor of Arts from SUNY at Buffalo in psychology in 2019.  

 

Richelle R. Kloch 

Richelle R. Kloch has joined Hurwitz Fine P.C. as an associate attorney in the firm's Litigation Department in our Buffalo office. She will be focusing her practice on premises liability and automobile liability defense. 

Prior to returning to the firm as an associate, Richelle began clerking at the firm in the fall of 2020 and continued as a summer law clerk in 2021! During this time, she gained valuable on-site experience where duties included a variety of tasks from research, writing projects, and case preparation.

During law school, Richelle took on multiple extra-curricular activities including working as a Note and Comment Editor for Buffalo Law Review—a law journal by UB School of Law. Additionally, she was a member of UB Law’s trial team and was a semi-finalist in the Syracuse National Trial Competition. Her experience also includes working in various departments of law including the Niagara County Supreme Court Chambers of the Honorable Richard C. Kloch, Sr. in the summer of 2020.   

Richelle received her Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2022 and received a Bachelor of Science from Niagara University in Criminology in 2019.  

 

Ryan P. O’Shea 

Ryan P. O’Shea has joined Hurwitz Fine P.C. as an associate attorney in our Buffalo office and will be focusing his practice on Insurance Coverage.  

Prior to joining the firm, Ryan worked in a law office as a Remote Legal Researcher where his role included researching both procedural and substantive issues based on LLCs and drafted internal memoranda.   

During law school, Ryan held multiple internships to maximize his experience in law prior to beginning his career in the legal field. These internships included working in several divisions within the New York State Supreme Court. In this experience, he conducted research on motions submitted to the Court, discussed the reasoning for the Court’s motion decisions, attended pre-trial conferences, attended the Court’s weekly Special Term, and drafted internal memoranda.   

Ryan received his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2022 and received a Bachelor of Science from SUNY Brockport in political science in 2018.   

 

We are excited to welcome this group of new associates to Hurwitz Fine and look forward to having them part of our team as they embark on their careers in law!
