Ms. Kulak is a litigation associate in the firm’s Albany office.  She defends clients in general liability injury matters, including premises and automobile liability cases, school district and municipal matters, Child Victims Act claims, and labor & employment. 

Over the last 10 years, Ms. Kulak developed her litigation skills in Upstate New York, including Albany and its surrounding towns and communities, litigating personal injury actions, including medical malpractice and school district and municipal defense. She has engaged in extensive discovery including document production and depositions, dispositive and trial motion practice, trial preparation, and mediation. She has also authored and argued in New York State’s Supreme Court, Appellate Division Third Judicial Department.

Ms. Kulak earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law in Syracuse, New York, in 2014.  During law school, she served as a law clerk for the Hon. Mae D’Agostino, United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, as well as for a large firm in downtown Albany. She was an editor for the Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce and was selected to have her Note published in the Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce in the Spring of 2014. Ms. Kulak received her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, in 2011, with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminal justice.

She is on the Board of Directors of the Saratoga County Bar Association serving as a State Bar Delegate. She is also the past president of the Federation of Bar Associations for the Fourth Judicial Department, which serves Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schenectady, St. Lawrence, Warren and Washington Counties by organizing, hosting and presenting Continuing Legal Education for its members in locations such as Lake Placid, New York, and Montreal, Canada.  Ms. Kulak has also been appointed to the Fourth Judicial District Committee on Character and Fitness for admission of applicants to the New York State Bar.

In her free time, Ms. Kulak enjoys working on projects around the house with her husband, two children, and their rescue dog.  She is also an avid equestrian, having ridden horses since she was eight years old.  She still enjoys riding her Oldenburg Pantheon horse and taking him to events throughout New England.
