Ms. Ognenovski is litigation special counsel in the firm’s Rochester office. She focuses her practice on retail & hospitality liability, including the unique risks and challenges faced by retail businesses, as well as premises liability, construction accidents/New York Labor Law, products liability, and property damage claims. Ms. Ognenovski also has experience in appellate work, skillfully handling appeals to secure favorable outcomes for her clients.

Before joining Hurwitz Fine, Ms. Ognenovski was a partner at a boutique litigation firm in Rochester. She gained a wealth of experience in managing civil defense litigation matters for corporations, small businesses, and individuals in state and federal court. The cases involved negligence, premises liability, contracts, products liability, construction accidents/New York Labor Law, motor vehicle accidents, products liability, and property damage claims. Ms. Ognenovski also represented self-insured corporations and insurance companies.

Throughout her career, whether litigating, negotiating settlements, or advising on risk management and risk transfer strategies, Ms. Ognenovski has tailored her approach to the specific needs of each client and case. She has successfully obtained dismissals in premises liability matters and favorable outcomes in complex wrongful death cases.

In addition, Ms. Ognenovski conducts comprehensive accident investigations by gathering evidence, retaining experts, interviewing witnesses, and composing detailed evaluation reports. She provides in-house trainings and insights on trends in the law as well as other legal topics to ensure her clients are ahead of legal developments and requirements.

Ms. Ognenovski received her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School of Union University. She attended the University at Buffalo where she majored in finance and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
