
Mr. Carlson is a litigation associate at Hurwitz Fine's Rochester office, focusing on matters involving premises liability, retail liability, product liability, and automobile liability, as well as New York State Labor Law.
Mr. Carlson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Legal Studies from the University at Buffalo, graduating cum laude. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University. After completing his first year of law school, Mr. Carlson interned at a multi-state law firm, assisting in the defense of product liability matters.
During his final semester of law school, Mr. Carlson participated in the Pro Bono Scholars Program with JustCause, a legal services organization, where he represented Monroe County residents in eviction proceedings, assisted veterans with various legal matters, advised pro se litigants in federal court, and provided counsel on debt management and bankruptcy. As part of the program, he took the bar exam prior to graduating and was admitted early to the Bar. Mr. Carlson continues to volunteer, representing tenants facing eviction in town courts throughout Monroe County.
Prior to joining Hurwitz Fine, Mr. Carlson was employed at a litigation law firm in Rochester, New York, where his work concentrated on defending cases related to premises liability, product liability, automobile liability, and New York State Labor Law.
