Scott J. Whitbeck



Mr. Whitbeck is an attorney in the firm’s Litigation Department and practices in the firm’s Buffalo office.  His practice is focused on defense of product liability claims and of premises liability claims.  He is a skilled litigator with substantial courtroom experience. 

Prior to joining Hurwitz Fine, he represented both plaintiffs and defendants, giving him a broad perspective that helps him to better advocate for his clients.  He has significant legal experience that has included construction, commercial, motor vehicle, premises liability, and debtor-creditor litigation.  Mr. Whitbeck has practiced in courts throughout New York.

Mr. Whitbeck also handles Guardianships for incapacitated persons, pursuant to Article 81 of the Mental Hygiene Law.

Prior to law school, he earned a Master of Public Administration degree, and worked in government affairs in Washington, D.C.; New York; and California, for approximately a decade.
