Mr. Flynn is Special Counsel at Hurwitz Fine and has extensive experience defending clients in matters involving construction accidents/New York State Labor Law, construction defects, product liability, commercial premises litigation, Section 1983 Civil Rights violations, complex litigation, catastrophic injury litigation and municipal law claims. Mr. Flynn has substantial experience handling cases at the federal, state and appellate levels. He has taken many cases to verdict and resolved hundreds of cases through mediation and arbitration process.
Before joining Hurwitz Fine, Mr. Flynn served as Senior Trial Attorney for a large commercial insurance carrier for 20 years defending policy holders in catastrophic injury cases involving New York State Labor Law construction site accident cases. Mr. Flynn is an experience product liability litigator in cases involving high exposure injuries. He has also defended commercial property owners and municipalities in general negligence cases. In connection thereto, Mr. Flynn effectively pursued loss/risk transfer in connection with his client representation.
Mr. Flynn earned his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law, where he received the Robert J. Connolly Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Economics.
Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Flynn proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1986 to 1990 as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Command and Control Operations Group. During his military service, he was awarded the prestigious John L. Levitow Award upon graduating from the U.S. Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer Preparatory Academy. The award recognizes the graduate who demonstrates the highest standards of academic achievement, leadership, and military excellence.
