James J. Crowley IV

Mr. Crowley is a litigation associate in Hurwitz Fine’s Rochester office, focusing on matters involving premises liability, retail & hospitality liability, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, and motor vehicle claims.

Mr. Crowley earned his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law, SUNY in 2025. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management, cum laude, from St. John Fisher University in 2022.

While in law school, Mr. Crowley served on the school’s National Trial Competition Team (2024) and the Syracuse National Trial Competition Team (2025). He was also the recipient of the Robert J. Connelly Trial Technique award, which is presented to the students who have the best performance record in Trial Technique, as selected by their instructors.

Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Mr. Crowley clerked for the firm.
