Cheryl D. Kennedy

Ms. Kennedy is an associate in the firm’s litigation group in Buffalo, where she focuses her practice on a broad range of civil litigation and employment matters, including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents and medical malpractice.  She brings a strong background in civil litigation, regulatory compliance and risk management to her role at the firm.

Ms. Kennedy has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants throughout her legal career.  Her work in civil litigation began while she was in law school when she clerked for in-house defense counsel for an insurance carrier.  She has since represented clients in a range of tort actions including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and medical malpractice. Before joining the firm, Ms. Kennedy worked in the insurance industry, evaluating regulatory and contractual compliance within a large health insurance company. 

Ms. Kennedy earned her Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Hilbert College. While attending law school, Ms. Kennedy was a Teaching Assistant in Contract Law and a Student Attorney within the Health Justice Clinic.

Ms. Kennedy is admitted to practice in New York State and in the United States District Court for the Western District of New York.
