Mr. Castronovo is a seasoned litigator whose practice focuses on high-exposure civil matters, including trucking accidents, premises liability, complex construction claims, and automobile liability defense.
His representative experience includes defending emergency vehicle and ride-assist vehicle operators in motor vehicle accident litigation, drafting successful summary judgment motions on liability supported by expert and forensic evidence, and defending bodily injury claims throughout New York City and Long Island.
Mr. Castronovo has also tried cases in both civil and criminal court. He has extensive experience conducting civil binding arbitrations.
Mr. Castronovo has experience handling New York Labor Law §§ 240/241 matters and has conducted and defended depositions of plaintiffs, general contractors and subcontractors in Labor Law litigation.
He previously served as in-house counsel for a major national insurance carrier, where he focused on automobile liability defense and developed a deep understanding of risk assessment, claims strategy, and efficient case resolution.
In his criminal defense practice, Mr. Castronovo has represented clients facing felony and misdemeanor charges throughout Long Island and New York City, negotiating favorable resolutions in serious matters and handling complex discovery in white-collar prosecutions. In 2012, he was appointed to the Suffolk County Assigned Counsel Defender Plan, where he represented hundreds of individuals charged with serious criminal offenses.
