
Ms. Violante is an attorney in the firm’s Litigation Department with a diverse practice including New York State Labor Law, premises liability, and automobile liability. She is a skilled litigator with significant experience preparing nuanced legal arguments, pleadings, and several successful dispositive motions on various high-exposure tort matters.
Before joining Hurwitz Fine, Ms. Violante served as Assistant Field Counsel for a large national insurance carrier for nearly five years, defending both personal and commercial policy holders in high-exposure tort actions involving construction defect, jobsite accidents, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, premises liability, and catastrophic flooding and fire losses. Prior to her time as Assistant Field Counsel, Ms. Violante handled matrimonial and residential real estate matters for another Buffalo law firm. Ms. Violante also has experience with appellate practice in the Appellate Division, Fourth Department, and has prepared appellate papers for a matter before the Court of Appeals.
Ms. Violante earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Italian from SUNY Buffalo where she graduated summa cum laude. She received her Juris Doctor degree cum laude from the University at Buffalo School of Law. In her time as a law student, Ms. Violante clerked for a respected local criminal defense attorney and prepared successful motions to vacate convictions for wrongfully convicted clients.
