Hurwitz Fine P.C. Honored as a 2025 Elevating Women Award Recipient

Hurwitz Fine P.C. is proud to announce that we have been recognized as a 2025 Elevating Women honoree by the Rochester Business Journal. This distinction celebrates organizations across New York that demonstrate measurable commitment to supporting, advancing, and empowering women in the workplace and the broader community.

The Elevating Women Awards highlight companies that show tangible results in promoting women, including hiring and advancement practices, leadership representation, advocacy, and initiatives to cultivate the next generation of women professionals. “The 2025 Elevating Women winners invest in, elevate and support women leaders in Rochester and beyond,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/Rochester Business Journal.

This award is especially meaningful as the firm recently expanded and opened a brick-and-mortar office in Rochester earlier this year, marking an exciting milestone in our continued growth and commitment to serving clients throughout the region.

At Hurwitz Fine, elevating women is a core priority and a cultural value embedded in everything we do. Under the leadership of President and Managing Partner Jody E. Briandi, the firm has implemented a range of initiatives to support women attorneys, including mentorship programs, leadership development opportunities, and flexible work arrangements that promote work-life balance.

In 2021, Hurwitz Fine launched the Forum for Women Lawyers, an employee resource group dedicated to career development, networking, and advocacy for women attorneys. This group has grown into a valuable program for education, empowerment, and peer connection.

We are also proud to be a two-time recipient of the national diversity Midsize Mansfield Certification “Plus” status, the first Buffalo-based law firm to achieve this recognition. The certification reflects our commitment to inclusive promotion and leadership practices, ensuring women, LGBTQ+ attorneys, and attorneys from underrepresented backgrounds are considered for leadership roles, equity partnership, and client-facing opportunities.

Beyond our firm, Hurwitz Fine attorneys are active leaders in the community and the legal profession, mentoring emerging professionals, serving on boards, speaking at conferences, and advocating for equity in every sphere.

The Elevating Women recognition is not just an award—it is a reflection of Hurwitz Fine’s ongoing, firmwide commitment to accountability, opportunity, and impact. We remain dedicated to supporting the professional growth of all attorneys at all stages of their careers and fostering a culture where representation, mentorship, and advancement are priorities.

We are honored to be included among the 2025 Elevating Women winners and look forward to continuing our work to advance women leaders in law and in our community.
