Dan D. Kohane elected President of the National Foundation for Judicial Excellence

Dan D. Kohane, Senior Member at Hurwitz & Fine, P.C., was elected President at the annual board meeting of the National Foundation for Judicial Excellence (NFJE) in Chicago on Friday, July 19th. Mr. Kohane is a nationally recognized insurance coverage counselor, and has been with Hurwitz & Fine for 42 years. In addition to leading Hurwitz & Fine’s insurance practice group, Mr. Kohane serves as an adjunct professor of insurance law at the University at Buffalo Law School, and is known for his national newsletter, Coverage Pointers, which summarizes important insurance coverage decisions. He is also a member of the American Law Institute.

The NFJE is an independent, 501(c)(3) charitable foundation that provides state appellate judges with educational programming and other tools to enhance the rule of law and administration of justice.  The 15th annual judicial symposium was attended by 150 appellate judges from 38 states.
