Hurwitz & Fine’s head of Business & Commercial Litigation department, Andrea Schillaci, was recently sworn in as President of the Buffalo Niagara Chapter of NAWBO.
Established in 1994, NAWBO is an international organization that actively advocates for women business owners, providing educational & networking opportunities, as well as mentoring and support.
Ms. Schillaci has been an active member in NAWBO since 2016 and is excited to start her role as president. Her theme for the year is “reaching out,” to include current members, former members, the national chapter of their organization, as well as to other organizations that support and sustain women in business.
“NAWBO brings many unique resources to the table. In addition to networking and mentoring, we have a focus on education and advocacy. We want to collaborate with other organizations to best promote and support women in business, to ensure that our chapter reflects our community, and to embrace both new and established businesses,” said Schillaci.
