Anastasia M. McCarthy was appointed co-chair of the statewide Legislative Committee of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY). In her role as co-chair, Anastasia will help lead the committee in completing the committee's objectives, which include reviewing pending state and federal legislation, preparing and circulating position papers on proposed legislation, testifying on behalf of WBASNY relative to various legislative issues, presenting WBASNY's position on issues of legislation and state policy including proposals or actions by regulatory agencies and the executive of NY State Government, and working closely with WBASNY's legislative consultant to advance legislation of interest and concern to the Women's Bar Association. The Women's Bar Association is the second largest Bar Association in the State of New York and a unique and well-respected voice in Albany. Anastasia is excited to take on this new role and will remain engaged with the local WBASNY WNY chapter by continuing to serve as a Board Member, State Delegate, and Deputy Treasurer.
