Michael F. Perley Sworn in as President of the Erie County Bar Foundation Board

Hurwitz & Fine Litigation Chair Michael F. Perley was recently sworn in as 2021 – 2022 President of the Erie County Bar Foundation. 

Upon assuming the Foundation Presidency, Perley stated, “I am honored and excited to take on this leadership role and work with so many fine lawyers to help our colleagues in need. This past year has led to increased challenges for so many, and the continued generosity and goodwill of the ECBF members and outgoing President, David Pfalzgraf, has provided help and solutions for many lawyers and their families. My role this year will be to continue the mission of the ECBF and further develop initiatives with the guidance of the Board to let legal professionals facing crises know that we’re here.”

In addition to his role as Chair of the Litigation Department, Mike is a member of Hurwitz & Fine's Board of Directors. He focuses his practice in municipal law, product liability, professional liability, complex litigation and catastrophic injury litigation, and representation of condominiums and homeowners’ associations. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Charles S. Desmond Chapter of the American Inns of Court, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Bar Association of Erie County, former President of the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association, and is the National Board Representative of the Buffalo Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is a member of the Ethics Committee, Judiciary Committee, Continuing Legal Education Advisory Committee and the Committee on Eminent Domain and Tax Certiorari of the Erie County Bar Association, and of the Municipal Law and the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Sections of the New York State Bar Association.
