Dan D. Kohane, Sr. Member at Hurwitz & Fine, P.C., was elected Vice President at the annual board meeting of the National Foundation for Judicial Excellence (NFJE) in Chicago. Mr. Kohane is a nationally recognized insurance coverage counselor, and has been with Hurwitz & Fine for more than 40 years. In addition to leading Hurwitz & Fine’s insurance practice group, Mr. Kohane serves as an adjunct professor of insurance law at the University at Buffalo Law School, and is known for his national newsletter, Coverage Pointers, which summarizes important insurance coverage decisions. He is also a member of the American Law Institute.
The NFJE is an independent, 501(c)(3) charitable foundation that provides state appellate judges with educational programming and other tools to enhance the rule of law and administration of justice. The 14th annual judicial symposium was attended by 150 appellate judges from 39 states.
