Ms. Briandi is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department where she focuses her practice in municipal, premises, professional and product liability, as well as transportation negligence.
Ms. Briandi has extensive experience representing school districts in the full range of litigated matters. She regularly represents manufacturers and distributors of complex industrial machinery product in the defense of defect claims. Ms. Briandi also has experience in professional liability, most specifically in the area of legal malpractice, having recently authored an educational essay on Legal Malpractice Litigation/Risk Management for the New York State Bar Association.
Ms. Briandi represents a number of self-insured corporate clients for whom she handles all of their litigated matters ranging from premises liability to product liability and transportation negligence and for whom she has conducted extensive in-house training on litigation preventative measures and strategies.
Ms. Briandi has extensive court experience and has handled cases in state, federal and appellate courts. Ms. Briandi is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the United States Court for the Western Districts. Ms. Briandi has experience in bankruptcy matters and is admitted to the United States Bankruptcy Court Western District of New York where she has handled several matters protecting creditor's rights. Ms. Briandi also perfects, writes and argues all of her own appeals.
Ms. Briandi earned her Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. She is also a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing Arts and Communication Studies.
Ms. Briandi is a member of the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Section of the New York State Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association, the Western New York Chapter of the Women’s Bar Association and the Defense Trial Lawyers Association.
