Mr. Barbera is an associate attorney in the firm’s General Litigation Practice Group, focusing his practice on negligence actions, construction accidents/New York Labor Law, motor vehicle liability, toxic torts and asbestos defense.
Mr. Barbera obtained his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law, graduating cum laude. While in law school, he served as a legal writing fellow and completed a judicial externship with the Commercial Division of the 8th Judicial District. Prior to joining Hurwitz Fine as an associate attorney, Mr. Barbera worked in-house for a national insurance carrier and primarily practiced in the areas of construction defect and professional liability.
Mr. Barbera completed his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geosciences at the University at Buffalo in 2018, where he graduated magna cum laude and was awarded outstanding senior in Environmental Geosciences.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Barbera worked as a field research scientist for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, and watching European soccer.
