Christopher J. Kolber

Mr. Kolber is an attorney in the firm’s Business and Commercial Litigation, Labor and Employment Law, and Business Services practice groups. He handles complex business and commercial cases at all stages from pre-litigation analysis and negotiation through litigation and resolution.  He has experience drafting all types of documents for various stages of litigation, including pleadings, motion papers and memoranda, and mediation and trial submissions.

Mr. Kolber’s practice also focuses on assisting businesses, governmental entities, and not-for-profit organizations with a broad range of matters affecting the day-to-day operations, including formation and corporate governance, regulatory and compliance matters and the preparation and review of various agreements.

Prior to joining Hurwitz Fine as an associate, Mr. Kolber was a law clerk at the firm. He earned his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from the University at Buffalo School of Law. Mr. Kolber received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance.

While in law school, Mr. Kolber participated in the New York City Program on Finance and Law and externed at a large Manhattan law firm, focusing on regulatory issues impacting financial intermediaries and exchanges, including laws and rules governing cryptoassets.

Mr. Kolber was also a member of the Buffalo Bills Stadium Practicum, where he assisted Erie County in their negotiations with the Buffalo Bills for the new stadium project.  Mr. Kolber also gained relevant experience at the Entrepreneurship Law Center, where he worked with diverse startup companies, advising clients on topics such as entity formation, dissolution, and corporate governance. Mr. Kolber also interned at Generation Sports, a full-service sports agency.
