Cara A. Cox
Ms. Cox is an attorney with the firm’s Insurance Coverage & Extracontractual Liability department with a focus on insurance coverage litigation and coverage analysis in New York.
Prior to joining Hurwitz & Fine, Ms. Cox worked as Assistant Field Counsel for a national insurance carrier, where she defended commercial and individual policyholders against tort actions involving premises liability and motor vehicle accidents.
Ms. Cox earned her Juris Doctor in 2016 from the University at Buffalo School of Law, with a concentration in Cross-Border Legal Studies. While at law school, she served as the Managing Editor for the Buffalo Human Rights Law Review, and competed in various arbitration competitions, including being a member of the first team to be sent to Vienna, Austria to compete in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Additionally, during law school, she served as a law clerk at Hogan Lovells in Mexico City, Mexico.
Ms. Cox completed her undergraduate studies at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, earning Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and Political Science. While at SUNY Buffalo, Ms. Cox served as Treasurer and coxswain for the Buffalo Men’s Rowing novice and varsity teams.
