Since joining the firm in 1981, Mr. Ross’ primary emphasis has been representing parties involved in complex real estate matters. He has represented purchasers, sellers and developers of commercial real estate, multi-family residential properties, lending institutions and purchasers and sellers of assets and stock of corporations and other businesses in matters where the dollar range of these transactions was up to $10,000,000.

In the commercial lending area, Mr. Ross has handled many construction and permanent real estate mortgage loans and all types of corporate lending including lines of credit, term loans and revolving credit arrangements, primarily on behalf of borrowers, with a wide variety of financial institutions. Other transactions have involved Federal, State and local public benefit corporations and various industrial development agencies. Mr. Ross represented a major multi-national lender in its acquisition and development of a new computer operations center and he represented a local industrial development agency in the sale of its industrial growth complex/small business incubator facility.

On the lender’s side, he has represented several private sector and public sector lenders in commercial mortgage loan transactions ranging up to $4,000,000.

Mr. Ross also has considerable experience in representing commercial lessors and lessees of retail, office, industrial and multi-family residential space.

Active in the Bar Association of Erie County and the New York State Bar Associations, Mr. Ross has served on several committees and was selected to serve on the Bar Association of Erie County's Task Force on Attorney Professionalism. Mr. Ross also serves as a Board Member and immediate past President and Board Chair of the Erie County Council for the Prevention of Alcohol and Substance Abuse.

Roger L. Ross is a Buffalo native who received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University at Buffalo Law School and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York College at Buffalo.
