Ms. Kazukenus is an attorney in the firm’s Litigation Department where she focuses her practice in insurance coverage policy and claim issues.
Ms. Kazukenus has experience in conducting legal research regarding both coverage issues under insurance policies and liability positions applicable to claims. Having worked for several years as an in-house claim counsel for a major insurance company, Ms. Kazukenus has significant experience in providing support and guidance to adjusters and agents related to policy and claim issues. She has led training sessions on a wide range of compliance and coverage topics and is experienced in maximizing the efficient use of outside counsel to limit litigation expenses. She also served as a Life Compliance Analyst charged with drafting and submitting contracts for approval by various insurance departments, ensuring compliance with state regulations. She has significant experience in training and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Ms. Kazukenus was selected to serve the New York State Assembly as an intern and later as a legislative aid for the Honorable Catherine Young where she drafted constituent correspondence, tracked legislation, researched budget proposals and assisted on the assembly floor.
Ms. Kazukenus earned her J.D. at Albany Law School of Union University and was a Moot court participant. She earned her B.A. in Political Science at the University at Albany with a minor in Women’s Studies.
