Ms. Seeley focuses her practice in municipal and environmental counseling, governmental liability, insurance coverage and No-Fault coverage, arbitration, and litigation. Ms. Seeley is the Village Attorney for the Village of Springville.

She has experience providing environmental counseling for municipalities and developers in SEQRA compliance matters. She also has experience advising corporations on compliance with federal and state environmental regulations, such as RCRA, the Clean Water Act, NEPA, and OSHA. Ms. Seeley regularly represents clients in land use issues and works with surveyors and engineers on the development of land use strategies. She has made presentations on land use and development before municipal planning groups.

Ms. Seeley routinely provides counseling to insurers on personal and commercial lines insurance policies. She also handles declaratory judgment actions in State and Federal Courts across New York State and monitors out of state litigation for insurance clients. Ms. Seeley handles No-Fault arbitration and litigation, as well as loss transfer arbitrations and special arbitrations conducted in Arbitration Forums, Inc. Ms. Seeley is the team leader of the firm’s No-Fault practice group and regularly provides No-Fault insurance coverage advice to insurers. Ms. Seeley authors a bi-weekly column on recent developments in No-Fault law for the firm’s electronic newsletter “Coverage Pointers”.

In 2010, Ms. Seeley was presented the Sheldon Hurwitz Young Lawyer of the Year Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field by the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. The award, named for the co-founder of Hurwitz & Fine, P.C., is a distinct honor awarded to a lawyer admitted ten years or less who has made a significant impact in the industry.

Nationally active, Ms. Seeley is Vice Chair of the Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) Insurance Coverage and Practice Symposium for 2011. Ms. Seeley is also Marketing Chair and Steering Committee member of DRI’s Insurance Law Committee where she also serves on the Marketing Committee and Steering Committee of the Insurance Coverage and Claims Institute and Bad Faith Seminar. Ms. Seeley previously served as Vice Chair of the Insurance Law Committee’s Young Lawyers subsection.

Locally, Ms. Seeley is a member of the Erie County Bar Association Environmental Committee and the Committee on Eminent Domain and Tax Certiorari; a member of the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Insurance Coverage Committee and the Municipal Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association. Ms. Seeley is a 2008 graduate of the founding class of the Leadership Institute of the Erie County Bar Association and is a member of its Planning Committee. Ms. Seeley is also firm liaison to the New York Insurance Association, Inc.

Ms. Seeley received her J.D. from the University at Buffalo Law School, where she was an Articles Editor for the Buffalo Environmental Law Journal. She received degrees in Political Science, International Relations, and European Studies from Canisius College.

In addition, to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Seeley regularly demonstrates her concern for the Western New York community, especially the Southtowns area where she grew up. She is one of the charter board members of Buffalo Sabres hockey player Patrick Kaleta’s HITS Foundation which strives to bring athletic opportunities to underserved youth in rural communities. Ms. Seeley also is an annual volunteer for Junior Achievement where she teaches professional business success skills at Springville High School to juniors and seniors preparing to enter the workforce.

In 2010, Ms. Seeley was named as one of Buffalo Business First’s 40 Under Forty, one of forty individuals under the age of 40 who were selected for recognition for their professional success and community involvement.
